We are pleased to announce that Hannah Greß, PhD student and research associate in the Personalized Digital Health and Telemedicine Group at the Department of Epileptology, University Hospital Bonn, has been awarded a prestigious Heinrich Hertz Fellowship for an international research stay.

The fellowship supports a six-month research visit at EURECOM in Biot, France, where Hannah will conduct research on the topic:

“Experimental Security Analysis of a BLE-Enabled Medical Device at the Protocol and Implementation Level.”

Her work focuses on the systematic evaluation of security vulnerabilities in Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)-enabled medical devices, contributing to the development of safer and more trustworthy digital health technologies.

The research stay will provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen international collaborations, exchange expertise with leading researchers in cybersecurity and digital health, and gain valuable experience in an interdisciplinary research environment.

We congratulate Hannah on this achievement and are proud to see her work recognized through this competitive fellowship. We look forward to the new insights, experiences, and collaborations that she will bring back to our group in Bonn.
