The Working Group
The research group, based in the Department for Epileptology at the University Hospital Bonn, is committed to developing technologies for the collection and analysis of human data, such as movements and vital signs, irrespective of the sensor technology employed. Our efforts include the creation of wearables for precise health monitoring, the use of contactless methods with video imaging to collect postural and vital data, and the development of advanced data analysis and visualization tools. A key aim is to leverage AI methods to process large volumes of data from various sources, aiming to significantly enhance patient care by improving the accuracy of health monitoring and diagnosis. Additionally, ensuring the privacy and security of sensitive health information during its processing is a critical priority, as we utilize AI to meet these essential objectives. Moreover, our group is particularly interested in how our technologies can support healthcare services research, focusing on the evaluation and improvement of healthcare delivery and outcomes.
