The Teleconsultation project aims to establish a teleconsultation network between the Department for Epileptology at the University Hospital Bonn and the Neurology and Neurogeriatrics Clinic in Siegen. The primary focus is on facilitating timely and case-based expert exchange between the clinics through digital technologies. The project seeks to build a solid technical foundation while fostering dialogue on clinical processes across the two institutions.
This collaborative effort is expected to enhance informal learning and improve processes related to patient anamnesis, diagnosis, and therapy. The effectiveness of the solutions developed will be assessed through comparative studies, analyzing historical and new cases. Key metrics such as hospital stay duration, return rates, targeted syndrome-oriented medication, seizure frequency and intensity, side effects of anticonvulsive medication, and fall prevention will be examined from both clinical and economic perspectives.
