Short CV:
Koray Simsek earned his bachelor’s degree in physics in 2023 and his master’s degree in physics in 2026. He completed his master’s thesis in the group of Prof. Dr. Björn Krüger, focusing on the contactless measurement of vital parameters in patients at the Department of Epileptology in Bonn. His work combined camera-based measurement techniques with signal processing to extract physiological parameters such as heart rate, respiratory rate and skin temperature without physical contact. He is now doing his Ph.D in Computer Science at the University Hospital Bonn/University of Bonn.
